Happy Birthday Feather!

Wow, how long I have known you Heather! I can't believe that it was almost 10 years ago that I met you! I hope you are having the best of days celebrating all your happy birthdayness. :) I miss you tons and tons. I was having a hard debating on what memory I should share on my blog in memory of you. And this is the one I came up with:

I'm pretty sure we were seniors, we got a box of oatmeal creme pies, and a 2 liter thing of soda with two pretty glasses. We sat in your yard and eat and drank and spoke the entire conversation in British accents and pretended it was years from then and that we were married and had kids. It was so much fun. I always loved that about you, when I am around you anything is possible, even if it is completely pretends. You always believed I could do anything, and you always believed in me and supported the decisions I made, even when no one else would. Thank you Heather, I miss you I'm wishing you a great birthday!!! I wish I was with you!

Happy Birthday Marissa! (Late, sorry)

So sorry, I have been in another world for so long, I kind of forgot about everything but being home with Tyson and trying to finish up my next writing assignment on time. So Marissa, I hope it was a great day and you did something utterly fantastic that lets you never forget it. So, one of my favorite memories of you is:

Well, one time, me and I think Kirsten, Heather and Kristen (maybe not all three, but some of them) went to your house and you opened the door with a towel around your hair and you were freaking out. You said something to the affect of, "Okay, so I was trying to dye my hair, but it went awful (something about the dye being auburn, but totally not working or maybe it was blonde, I don't know). My hair is orange, not even kidding, orange." So we all laughed, you took us to the bathroom and took off the towel and I about died, because your hair truly was flaming orange. I will never forget that face with your eyebrows raised and your lips pursed and you just furius and your hair a very Timpview patriot color. Just so you know, even if you hadn't redyed your hair that night, I still think you are so pretty you could have pulled it off no problem. :)

Thanks for being so much fun!

Back

Wow, I have been gone for like ever. I am finally home and loving being in the quietness of just me, my hunny and my little one. Okay, we aren't that quiet, but you know what I mean. I am just so happy to be with Tyson again. I can't believe how weird it feels to be without him, like part of me was unable to function. Anyways, I gotta go eat breakfast with my hunny. We slept in forever because he stayed up til past midnight finishing the last twilight book with me. ;) So we got up way late and he is late for work, I have a very bad influence, but I don't care.

Missing my lover boy

I miss Tyson!!! I have absolutely loved being with my family and his, but I am ready for him to be with me. I know to some of you this may be silly and it is only a week left, but my goodness, I don't want another minute. I miss him. I miss his smile and his hugs and his voice and how he makes me and Josh laugh when we are tired and grumpy. I miss how he always makes everything better. I just miss him. I am very thankful for his job and how hard he works but I wish he could get a really long break and come here to me. I think that is a great idea. :) Tyson, run to me! I love you!

Sit a little straighter, pray a little more

This past week I have been reading from this last Conference Ensign. It is funny because I have really gotten into a habit of reading out of the Book of Mormon or Conference Ensign every day for awhile now. However, I have really been slacking on praying every day, much less actually praying with any feeling. A few weeks ago I was really struggling with being happy every day and I couldn't understand why. So Tyson asked, "Have you been praying?" Oh, of course, it is such a simple thing but without it my world turns completely topsy turvey and it is so hard for me to be happy at all. So I read Elder Bednar's talk and a few others about praying with real intent, and with faith to act after the prayer. So I really tried to change my perspective and my prayers. It was sad how weird it felt to actually try and talk to and listen to Heavenly Father. It is the same feeling I get when I call someone I haven't talked to in a long time and it is almost awkward, like I don't know what to say because so much as happened that I haven't told them and so much I don't know about them anymore. It wasn't easy, but I tried to really think about what I was saying without getting distracted and to really want what I was praying for and try to think of how I could help to get those things I wanted. For example, our bishop has really been emphasizing missionary work, so I really want to help with that. So I prayed for someone to invite over for dinner that I want to share the gospel with. Then there are other things like people I am worried about, things I need to get done, etc. So especially on Friday I tried to fill my day doing things to help Heavenly Father answer my prayers. I was trying to do my part and act on my faith so that the Lord could bless me with answers to my prayers. (I don't know if any of this is making sense). Well, by Friday night, I was exhausted, and happier than I had been in a long time. I had called people, visited them, actually made a difference in people's lives that day. It was an awesome feeling. The weird thing was that I the next day I wanted to do that all over again, but it seemed like I was just too tired. So we went to the temple, but it was almost like I was too tired to think of nice things to do for people. Who know when you see someone that is sitting up straight and you realize you are slouching? So you try and sit up straight too, but after like a minute your back just kills because you aren't used to using those muscles. So doing the thing that is best for you is harder for you than doing what isn't because you have gotten so used to doing what is bad for you? Well, that is how I felt about doing good for others, it just hurt because I was so tired. But, I still want very much to sit up straight, and I want to do good for others and make my prayers meaningful. So, I am pretty "out of shape" with all these things, but I am going to try.

Looking Back

Thanks Bunky, it was so much fun to read your tag. So I wanted Tyson to do it with me but he is really sleepy. So I told him I would massage him if he would answer my questions and he has been trying to stay awake but he feels like I have been interegating him, which I kind of have been. Hehe. Enjoy.

What Tyson and Cami were doing...

Tyson- 4 years old
*lived in Plymouth, MA
*probably playing with my little friend Jacklyn
*had little bunny named Blackberry

Cami- 3 years old
*barely stopped being the baby in the family because of Bunky, I don't think I took it that hard though, but I don't think I understood she was a real creature though
*followed my big brothers all around the Payson, UT farms and barren wasteland, getting into all kinds of mischief
*got grounded for putting sugar on my cereal
*took a ride on my cousin Matt's motorcycle

Cami- 13 years old
*tested wearing blush for the first time ever, and sometimes wore lip gloss, thanks to Abby
*right before I started hanging out with Kristen and Heather, so really I had no friends
*had a crush (still) on Matt Brewster and once wandered the streets pretending to be Maryanne Dashwood from 'Sense and Sensibility' in the rain and looking for my Williby (sorry for the
spelling, I'm not too good with that)
*Fighting with Kenni every morning with the bathroom rights
*Just started to become a "woman," blah
